Welcome to grade 10 Foundations of Mathematics and PreCalculus! This course teaches and covers all of the outcomes as set out by the province of Saskatchewan. The full curriculum document can be found here.
This course is separated into 8 units. For each unit, you will start by opening and printing off a copy of the unit notes. You will need these notes to fill in during the video lessons. At the end of each lesson is an assignment based on what was learned during that lesson. The answer keys are found on each lesson page so that you can check your answers, and use them as a reference if needed while completing the assignment. At the end of each unit is a unit review and a unit test.
In this course, you would email your completed tests to [email protected] for us to correct. Once marked and graded, we would send them back to you with any feedback that might be helpful.
The curriculum document states:
The outcomes in the Foundations of Mathematics and Precalculus 10 course are based upon the students’ prior learning and continue to develop their number sense, spatial sense, logical thinking, and understanding of mathematics as a human endeavour. These learning experiences prepare students to be confident, flexible, and capable with their mathematical knowledge in new contexts. The outcomes in this course are the prerequisite outcomes for both the Foundations of Mathematics 20 and Precalculus 20 courses.
Have a look through the different lessons below, and let us know if you have any questions. Otherwise, we look forward to helping you through this course and making math easy!
